Perylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxylic acid diimides (Perylene biimides, PBIs)
are a class of fused ring aromatic compounds containing perylene.

Due to its excellent dyeing properties, light fastness, weather fastness and chemical
stability, it is widely used in the automotive coatings industry.

What’s more,Its also has a broad absorption spectrum, a large Stokes shift, a good electron
transport capability, a high fluorescence quantum yield and electron affinity
and is easy to be chemically modified by various functional groups.

These favourable physical and chemical properties enable perylene diimides to have
wide potential applications in the fields of energy, biology, medicine, and supramolecular chemistry and so on.

It shows that red F300 has strong absorption at 200 ~ 400nm, and the maximum emission wavelength λmax is 612 nm, which indicated

that red F300 has the potential as a fluorescent solar collector.
